Product Ratings
I have decided to rate all products in my Bad Designs postings with a rating from “one frown” to “five frowns”. The more frowns it scores, the worse. I have retrospectively rated all of the products previously posted.
My rating scheme is described below :
One Frown
A product with an amusing and/or easily forgivable problem. There is no reason at all to avoid this product.
Two Frowns
A product with a few minor problems or a single more significant problem. The problem(s) are not serious enough to avoid buying this product.
Three Frowns

A product with a series of significant problems or a single serious problem. You should think twice before buying this product.
Four Frowns
A product with enough problems that it should never have been released on the market without being fixed. This product should be avoided if possible.
Five Frowns

A product which is so bad that it is hard to imagine what the designers, marketers and others involved in the process were thinking. Anyone involved with the production of this product should be taken out the back and shot. Avoid this product at all costs.
