Africa Trip
Here is a brief itinerary for our trip to Tanzania for those of you who are interested.
Day 1 (September 13)
Leave Adelaide. Spend lots on time in planes and airports. Arrive in Johannesburg for transfer.
Day 2
Spend lots on time in planes and airports. Arrive in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania
Day 3
Fly to Moshi in Tanzania.
Day 4
Spend day in Moshi. Maybe try to visit a local village.
Day 5
Go to bottom of Mt. Kilimanjaro (4th highest mountain in the world) and start walking. Here is a picture summarising the important details from my extensive research:

Camp.
Day 6
Walk uphill and camp. Put on warmer clothes.
Day 7
Walk uphill and camp.
Day 8
Walk uphill and camp. Start to worry about dying from HAPE, HACE or HAFE (OK, I know HAFE isn’t deadly, but it sounds amusing anyway).
Day 9
Walk uphill and camp.
Day 10
Walk around and acclimatise. Camp.
Day 11
Walk uphill and camp.
Day 12
Walk to top of hill (5,893m), take photo and walk back down again. Camp.
Day 13
Walk downhill
and camp.
Day 14
Walk to bottom of hill. Go to hotel. Shower. Shower again.
Day 15
Visit Lake Manyara.
Day 16
Visit Lake Eyasi.
Day 17
Visit Olduvai Gorge
Day 18
Safari in Serengeti. Try to not be eaten by lions.
Day 19
Visit Ngorongoro Crater
Day 20
Visit Tarangire National Park on way to Moshi.
Day 21
Leave Moshi. Fly to Nairobi, Kenya, then Johannesburg again. Spend lots on time in planes and airports.
Day 22 (October 4)
Spend lots on time in planes and airports. Arrive home. Have nap.
