I live in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia.
This blog is intended to give me the opportunity to vent my spleen, and hopefully be of interest/amusement to others.
Why do I think I am qualified to give an opinion on anything? Here’s a few things :
- I am reasonably well educated (not that this necessarily counts for anything), having an Engineering Degree
- I keep myself up-to-date with areas of interest to me, particularly Science and Scepticism
- I believe I can think a little more logically that the average person, and (hopefully) not be fooled as easily by everyday nonsense, although I still fall for the occasional hoax. I try to spot common logical fallacies and look out for the warning signs of bogus science in any claims made in the media.
I have made a ceaseless effort not to ridicule, not to bewail, not to scorn human actions, but to understand them.

I also make an attempt to understand why people think the way they do, but at the end of the day, it is much more satisfying to resort to ridicule, scorn and sarcasm
