Camping

I went on a 3 day hike with my son’s Scout troupe over the long weekend (as a helper, not as a Scout). It has been a while since I have done any real hiking, so I had a few problems fitting everything in :

Luckily, this was sort of a practice run for a “real” hike, and the backpacks were being transported in a trailer. This gave the younger Scouts a chance to practice packing and using backpacks without needing to carry a lot of weight over long distances. We used smaller day packs while we were walking.

We camped at Newland Head Campground, west of Victor Harbor. It was a very nice camping spot, with good facilities.

We had some wonderful views on the hikes. The last part of the hike was along the cliff top you can see below.
